My name is Diana Tarakanova. I’m a Ukrainian tattoo artist who’s been traveling the world for the past 6 years, working as a guest artist in 13 countries. I started tattooing at 17, self-taught and driven by passion. My art is centered around small characters I call *shoekids*—emotionally rich figures in boots that reflect personal stories and inner worlds. Inspired by nature and places untouched by people, I use my travels to collect impressions that shape my style. Now based in the USA, I continue to explore, tattoo, and grow my visual universe—one memory, one shoekid at a time.
I work full-time as a traveling tattoo artist in the U.S., together with my partner Alex But. We visit studios across the country, often bringing our loyal clients along. My tattoo style is known for emotional storytelling through *shoekids*—unique little characters in boots that capture feelings, memories, and symbolic moments. Drawing is the root of my work; every tattoo begins as a deeply personal sketch. I’ve tattooed in over 17 states in U.S. in 2024 and continue expanding the *shoekids* world across states and stories. My mission is to build a global tattoo brand rooted in honesty, sensitivity, and the quiet power of simplicity.
