I am Joan David Meza Camelo, born on September 26th in Cali, Colombia and since I was a child I liked to draw with pencil, fruits, cars and people. At the age of 17 years old with my family we emigrated to Spain, where I live since then, soon after arriving, I realized that Barcelona is a very artistic city and I signed up for a drawing school because I always called my attention to graphite drawing. I went through many jobs until one day talking to a tattoo artist colleague, he explained me a little of the world and seeing that it was very similar to drawing, I was interested and I began to investigate it and I liked it more than I thought.

In 2016 I started tattooing on synthetic leather and the following year 2017 I entered Royal Tattoo, a studio with great artists where I continued with my learning. In 2019 I changed my studio to Gold Street, a studio where I soaked up other styles and continued to improve my techniques. In 2020 after the pandemic, I set up my own tattoo studio called Dos Coronas in Barcelona where I applied what I learned during these years and continue learning, collaborating and meeting great artists. I don’t usually go to conventions except as a spectator because I like to see other artists work. However I have been to some conventions like the last Baum Fest / Barcelona Tattoo Expo 2024 and I won the 1st prize in the Anime Black and Grey category.
