📍Boston, USA
My name is Juan Cardona, and I was born in Medellín, Colombia. I moved to Boston 14 years ago, bringing with me a lifelong passion for drawing and visual storytelling. I began my tattoo journey at a cultural center in Envigado, where I received my initial training. However, much of my growth has come through hands-on, self-guided experience and relentless exploration of the craft. I’ve been deeply influenced by the work of fellow artists I admired long before picking up a machine, and I continue to draw inspiration from both my roots and my community. Tattooing became a natural extension of my love for art, allowing me to turn personal expression into lasting form. Today, I’m proud to share my work with a diverse and ever-evolving clientele.
Tattooing has always been more than just an art to me—it’s a way to tell real stories through skin. I’ve been into drawing since I was a kid, and over the years I’ve found my voice through a mix of formal training and figuring things out on my own. Lately, I’ve been focused mostly on blackwork and stippling, which allows me to bring out detail and emotion in a way that really speaks to me. Living in Boston, I pull from my Colombian roots and the mix of cultures around me to create work that feels personal. Every tattoo is a collaboration—and part of a story bigger than just mine.
