Hi, Mattia here! I’m 29 years old, and for the past nine years, tattooing has saved my life. It pushed me to face my deepest insecurities, giving me the tools to overcome them and find my voice.

I decided to become a professional by studying for three years at MITA (International Master of Artistic Tattooing) under the guidance of Alex De Pase, a path that gave me solid foundations in tattooing, painting, and artistic anatomy.

Tattooing is still much more than a profession to me; it’s an essential part of who I am, both inside and outside the studio. Without this form of art, which has shaped my identity since I started, I don’t know where I’d be.

Fresh out of MITA, I worked at a couple of tattoo studios, but I felt my creativity wasn’t in the right place. I needed to express myself best I could, for both my art and my clients, it was necessary to create deep connections with them. That’s why three years ago Ink Tales Tattoo Studio was born, in Gemona del Friuli, Italy. My studio embodies my philosophy of serenity and inclusiveness: I live it as a pirate ship where everyone’s welcome, and the top priority is free self-expression and mutual respect. My studio and I are one, it’s my safe place and every fellow pirate’s.
