I began tattooing in 2016, self-taught in Itaewon, Korea. My inspiration didn’t come from others, but from the idea that all images are formed through dots, lines, and planes. I was especially drawn to the simplicity and strength of the line. Though I had majored in fine arts during my school years, I stepped away from art for nearly a decade. At 29, I questioned what I truly wanted to pursue in life—and realized that tattooing was what I loved most and did best. I didn’t seek formal training; instead, I followed my own artistic path, aiming to create a style rooted in personal conviction and individuality.
My tattoo style is based on linework within the blackwork genre. Early in my career, my designs were selected to be made into tattoo stickers, featured alongside renowned artists and sold globally—an experience that motivated me to refine my unique voice. For years, I focused mainly on private work, but in 2023, I entered my first tattoo convention in the UK and won 1st place. That moment opened new doors. I later received 2nd and 3rd place in Bangkok, and returned to the UK as a judge. I often sketch by hand—originally on paper, now on iPad—and I value individuality over perfection. For me, tattooing is a form of bold, personal expression.
