Ann Monterroso is the first in her family to become interested in tattooing. Born and raised in Móstoles (Madrid), no one around her had any tattoos until one day her mother decided to get the classic rose on her shoulder and took her along. She saw that world as a magical place where she could create in ways she had never imagined. That’s when she fell in love; she was seven years old, in 1997. From that day on, she worked hard to achieve her goals, and she managed to get her start in this beautiful and challenging world in 2008. It wasn’t easy; she didn’t get much help, but she never gave up.

She started as best she could in June 2008, after spending two years reading books of tattoo; she bought every magazine and flipped thru them with admiration. She had no one to help her, so the first few years were full of mistakes and learning, but she had an inquisitive mind and a goal to achieve. She traveled to many countries and attended numerous conventions; she never won any awards, but she met great artists and each trip taught her something valuable. Seventeen years have passed, and she still maintains the same enthusiasm and desire to fight and improve that she had as a 7 years-old girl.
