CHİCAGO/ ILLINOIS, USA
Hello, I’m Asena, a Turkish-born tattoo artist currently based in Chicago. My artistic foundation was built through music; I studied cello at a conservatory, where I developed a refined sense of rhythm, discipline, and emotional depth elements that continue to shape my visual language today. I began my tattoo career in Turkey through a traditional apprenticeship and have been professionally dedicated to the craft for over six years.
Specializing in micro-realism, I create vibrant, detail-driven works that merge technical precision with artistic sensitivity. My inspiration is rooted in nature, animals, and the quiet power of delicate details. I approach tattooing as a form of fine art—transforming skin into a canvas for timeless, emotionally resonant compositions
Throughout the years I have dedicated to micro-realism, I have found great fulfillment in transforming personal stories into lasting works of art across diverse skin types and designs. During this time, I have refined my technical precision and developed my own distinctive methods. While studying artists who inspire me, I have built a clear and recognizable visual language.
Working on a micro scale requires focus and mastery; for me, it is the most refined way of creating meaning through detail. Throughout my career, I have worked in different countries and across various skin tones, gaining valuable experience. Today, I continue my practice in Chicago while expanding my artistic vision internationally.
