My name is Brandon Tizard, and I began my journey in the tattoo industry at 16. From a young age, I knew I wanted a creative career, but it wasn’t until I got my first tattoo that I truly found my passion. Inspired by the atmosphere and image of the studio, I became obsessed with tattooing, spending every spare moment drawing, studying different styles, and developing my skills.

After years of self-teaching and practising on myself and friends, I realised I wanted to take my craft further. At 20, I secured a traditional apprenticeship with an experienced tattoo artist, allowing me to refine my technique and grow professionally.

10 years later, I am the proud owner of Nouveau Tattoo & Piercing.

My career began in traditional tattooing, where I spent years learning the fundamentals of the craft and developing a strong technical foundation. As my experience grew, so did my artistic interests, and eight years later I transitioned into black and grey tattooing, which has since become my main focus. I enjoy creating detailed, custom pieces that allow me to combine creativity with technical precision.

Today, I divide my time between tattooing clients and running Nouveau Tattoo & Piercing. Opening the studio was a major milestone in my career, and in our very first year we were honoured to win the Best Tattoo Studio in Dorset Award 2024. That recognition reflected the dedication, passion, and high standards we strive to bring to every

client experience.
