My name is Felix Hohl and I’m born in Essen. I am a self thought tattoo artist and I live and work in Wassenberg, Germany. I got my first tattoo when I was 18 but i was not satisfied with its quality. Thats when my journey as an artist began. I started in a small backroom of my flat with the mindset of doing it with more precision and quality than a lot of other artists. I tattooed myself and very soon many of my friends.“The ball started rolling”I had to register a small business in 2016. So the mother of my 2 sons and me opened Hautfarbe Tattoo & Piercing in 2018 on the Erkelenzerstraße 45 in 41849 Wassenberg, NRW, Germany.

I am an all-round tattoo artist with experience across a wide range of styles and techniques. Working in different approaches has allowed me to build a strong, adaptable foundation and to understand each design individually. While I enjoy versatility, my primary focus is black and grey tattooing. This style has always interested me the most, as it offers endless possibilities for creating depth, atmosphere, and realistic detail through contrast and smooth shading. I am particularly drawn to the emotional impact that black and grey tattoos can convey. I continuously refine my skills in this area, focusing on clean execution, balanced compositions, and long-lasting results. My goal is to combine technical precision with artistic expression, creating tattoos that feel timeless, ultimately personal and visually powerful.
