Germany
Luc Moeller is a self taught tattoo artist from Lübeck, Germany, whose path into art was anything but conventional. Originally trained as a social worker specializing in criminology and boxing therapy, he spent years working closely with people, understanding their stories, struggles and resilience. In 2021, he made the decision to step away from that path and fully commit to tattooing. Without a mentor or formal apprenticeship, he built his foundation through discipline, observation and relentless practice. What began as uncertainty slowly transformed into purpose. Luc’s work is driven by the belief that tattooing is more than technique. It is a way to translate emotion, identity and personal history into something permanent.
Luc works as a traveling tattoo artist, shaping his craft through movement, experience and artistic exchange. Based in Germany, he tattoos in cities such as Lübeck, Frankfurt, Berlin and Amberg, while expanding his perspective through time spent in Washington State, Vancouver, Florida State, Miami, Switzerland and Malta. His work is rooted in black and grey realism, where portraits, animals and dark compositions are designed to create presence on skin. Driven by contrast, depth and precision, Luc creates tattoos that feel alive rather than applied. For him, tattooing is not repetition. It is transformation. Each piece reflects identity, intention and the balance between control and instinct.
