Luke Garcia

📍Westminster Colorado, USA

I am Luke Garcia. I grew up next to a train yard, surrounded by graffiti and movement. By the time I was a teen, I was constantly drawing especially letters and cartoons. At 15, I learned calligraphy and even shaped a feather into a pen, which deepened my love for lettering. In 2001, I joined the Army and served two tours in Iraq. During that time, I started sketching tattoo designs for fellow soldiers and getting tattooed myself. That’s when I knew I wanted to be a tattoo artist. After leaving the Army in 2006, I started my apprenticeship and finished it a year later. Tattooing became my way to turn everything I’ve seen, felt, and experienced into something lasting.

After completing my apprenticeship, I tattooed in shops across the country before settling in Colorado, where I’ve been tattooing since 2010. I took a three-year break to attend art school and study video game design but ultimately chose to return to tattooing full-time. I specialize in lettering, calligraphy, black and grey, and cartoon-style tattoos. A few years ago, I opened my own studio, The House of Script, and have since been active on the tattoo convention circuit. I love traveling, connecting with fellow artists, and meeting clients from all over. Tattooing continues to be my passion and the perfect outlet for my creativity, blending art, expression, and storytelling.
