I’m Maris Pupols, and I have been working in the tattoo industry as a tattoo artist since 2006. Founder of Tattoo Frequency Art Studio, est in 2013 in Riga, Latvia.Since 2014, I have been studying academic drawing and painting, classical techniques, art history, form, texture, and the nature of things.I believe knowledge is never complete, which is why the works of the old masters remain a constant source of inspiration and growth for me.In drawing and painting, I focus on the interplay of light and shadow, the balance of complex tonal values. For me, every artwork begins with composition - it receives special attention.I create all of my works by hand, preserving moments, emotions, and experiences, making each piece unique.

Beyond the studio, I am also an artist, painter, and musician, a curious and creative human.An important part of my work is the continuous exploration of tattooing materials, equipment, and techniques. I specialize in realism in both black and grey and color, blending styles and creating individual designs adapted to my own visual handwriting and to compositions that work best with the human anatomy.To clear my mind and find new inspiration, I spend time in nature and enjoy my outdoor hobbies.
