ONI INK

📍Vitulazio, Italy

I’m Ozzy, an artist from Northampton, UK. I began drawing at a young age, using it as a form of escapism from the harsh reality of growing up on an estate where violence and crime were part of everyday life. One of my earliest and most vivid memories is seeing a family member with a large traditional tattoo of an eagle and a snake locked in battle — a moment that sparked my lifelong fascination with tattoo art. Over the years, creativity became not just an outlet but a lifeline, guiding me away from the environment I was raised in. Through tattooing, I found both purpose and a path to a new, better life, leaving that old world behind.

I’ve worked through a few mediums before tattooing — pyrography, graffiti and more — but charcoal portraiture is the one that never left me. There’s something raw and freeing about it that still shapes how I create. I tattoo across a wide range of styles, though I’m most drawn to black and grey and blackwork, often influenced by the Asian art and culture I immersed myself in while travelling through Asia. Art is deeply personal to me; some pieces I’m not sure if I will ever be ready to share publicly . Many of my clients carry their own heavy stories, and that mutual vulnerability is why we connect. It’s an honour to take part in such sacred, meaningful journeys — the reason I continue to push forward in this craft.
