I’m Michal, born in Slovakia, based in Prague, but most people know me as Mikey. I grew up with paint on my hands, so getting into tattooing just felt natural. I started out messing around with a homemade machine and ended up traveling and tattooing through many different countries. I’ve learned that tattooing isn’t just a craft or an art style—it’s freedom, self-expression, and a way to really enjoy life.
It’s been about 15 years since I did my very first tattoo, which still feels a bit crazy to say out loud. Since then, I’ve gone through a bunch of different styles, experimenting and changing, and I’m still figuring out my own way. I try to shape it by mixing my art, graffiti roots, and different tattoo techniques.
At one point, I just decided to travel and hit tattoo conventions and guest spots all over Europe. That experience brought me a lot of inspiration and the chance to meet many talented artists and interesting people. What I appreciate most are clients who trust the artist and give creative freedom—because that’s usually when the best tattoos happen.
