Räven Sundqvist, known professionally as Tattnuki, is a tattoo artist whose work blends folklore, fantasy, wildlife, and personal expression. The name Tattnuki combines two lifelong passions: tattooing and tanuki, a species that has shared Räven’s life for almost two decades.

Before entering the tattoo industry, Räven spent years working with a wide range of zoo animals, including crocodiles and raccoons, and continues to be involved in special-case exotic animal rehabilitation alongside a career in tattooing. A lifelong fascination with animals, culture, and imaginative worlds eventually led to tattooing, where creativity, craftsmanship, and imagination could come together in a single art form.

Having drawn for as long as I can remember, my work naturally gravitates towards the things that have always captured my imagination. I’m fascinated by the natural world, forever in awe of all things otherworldly, and endlessly inspired by the magic of colour.

A strong connection to Scandinavian roots and a love of Japanese art and culture continue to shape my creative perspective. While I enjoy working across a broad range of tattoo styles, I have a particular affinity for illustrative and neo-traditional work, where colour, character, and creativity can truly shine.
