Painterly Emotion & Refined Storytelling

Interview

How did you discover your passion for tattooing, and what inspired you to make it your career?

My passion for art began in early childhood, inspired by my grandmother Lilo — who also gave my studio its name. Creativity was always part of my life, and over the years that love naturally evolved.

The transition from brush to tattoo machine was influenced by many artists who inspired me deeply. Years ago, with the encouragement and support of my husband, I held a tattoo machine in my hands for the first time. That moment marked the beginning of a completely new chapter.

Which artists or styles have influenced your work the most?

I am constantly inspired by artists who push creative boundaries and tell emotional stories through their work. Thomas Carli Jarlier and Carolina Caos Avalle played a major role in shaping my desire to tattoo, while the painterly approach of Deanna James continues to influence my artistic direction. Their ability to blend technical mastery with emotion resonates strongly with me.

How do you handle the emotional connection between a client and their tattoo?

For me, emotion is at the core of every tattoo. I approach each project with empathy and openness, understanding that a tattoo often carries deep personal meaning. Creating a safe and trusting space allows clients to share their stories, which then become the foundation of the design. That emotional connection is what makes the final piece truly authentic.

What is your process for designing a custom tattoo?

Every tattoo begins with conversation. During the consultation, I focus on understanding the emotions behind the idea and getting to know the person who will wear it.

I love collaborating — exploring concepts, shapes, and moods together until we create something unique. My goal is always to design a one-of-a-kind piece that genuinely reflects the client’s story while staying true to my artistic vision.

What advice would you give to someone considering their first tattoo?

Choosing the right artist is essential. Take time to explore their portfolio and, most importantly, look at healed tattoos. A tattoo lasts forever, and quality should always come before quantity.

A consultation is also a valuable step — it allows you to discuss the idea thoroughly, as well as aftercare, hygiene, and long-term expectations.

What tools or techniques do you prefer, and how have your methods evolved?

I primarily work with the Cheyenne Sol Nova Unlimited and the FK Irons Flux Max. For inks, I use Intenze, and I work with needles from Kwadron, EZ, and Ozer.

My techniques continue to evolve through constant learning, experimentation, and inspiration from exceptional artists. Growth never stops.

What are your goals or future projects as a tattoo artist?

My goal is continuous growth — both artistically and personally. I strive to create unique, long-lasting tattoos while refining a distinctive style that feels truly authentic to me.

Ultimately, I want my work to reach a level where it not only represents my artistic vision but also inspires others within the tattoo community.
