Sanel Valles, born in Caracas, Venezuela, began his tattoo journey in 1992 after a powerful experience at a Guns N’ Roses concert sparked his passion for the art form. In 2001, he opened his first tattoo studio, gaining recognition and awards for his talent. By 2007, he expanded with a second studio, establishing himself as a leading figure in Venezuela’s tattoo scene. In 2010, Sanel made history as the first Venezuelan artist invited to the prestigious Classic NYC Tattoo Convention in Times Square. He moved to the U.S. in 2015, working in New Jersey and Brooklyn’s Hustle Parlour before co-founding Orpheus Tattoo Studio, where he continues to create exceptional work and mentor new artists.
Sanel’s style blends discipline, creativity, and detail. Influenced by pop culture, music, and nostalgia—especially Star Wars and Masters of the Universe—he also enjoys photography and collecting rare baseball cards. His passion for storytelling drives everything he does, both in and out of the studio.
